Halloween

For Halloween this year Berkeley was a lion again, and then had a wardrobe change into a princess right before we left, Oliver was a monkey and Fin was a baby chick. Fall festival was awesome this year with a couple of bouncy houses which enabled Tom and I to sit and visit with everyone we hardly ever see the whole time. The kids played on those the entire night so it ended up being quite relaxing. I hope they bring them back next year. Usually it's a little chaotic and stressful trying to follow the kids around everywhere, but this year was fantastic!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Laura and I took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch again this year and we had a blast as usual. The kids loved feeding the goats, playing on the tractors and going in the bouncy house. Cohen was not so fond of the livestock and clung to Laura every time the sheep "talked" to him. I have to admit, it was horribly loud and obnoxious and I would have clung to my mom too, had she been there :) My sister took the bigger kids on the monster truck while I stayed behind with Finley and the poor thing just about went into labor. We just assumed they'd go for a leisurly ride around the pumpkin patch, but when they bolted off into the woods my stomach dropped as I realized they were going for an extraordinarily bumpy ride through the wilderness. We were kind of shocked that they let her on actually. They asked her how far along she was (34 weeks) and they still let her go. I was worried sick about her all night since Chris was out of town and kept calling her to make sure she wasn't having contractions. She ended up going home to paint the toy room and is still pregnant as I post this. She is so uncomfortable right now and would probably gladly go on another monster truck ride if it would get things going! Anyway, I am frantically trying to catch up on everything that has gone on these past few months. I'll post again soon!

Leaf Day

The kids have "leaf day" at G & G Potts' house every year. They make a huge pile of leaves to jump in and then have a hot dog roast and s'mores afterwards. Oliver was a big help loading fire wood into his little John Deere tractor. Unfortunately later in the afternoon he was watching a neighbor kid run behind him and drove it over the bank and into the creek. Mom ended up jumping in after him. He somehow managed not to get wet. Mom, however, was not so fortunate! As you can see, he was exhausted (as was I after all the heroics) and passed out in bed later that night. Once again, mom was not so fortunate. I think it has been about 3 months since I have had one entire night of sleep. This too shall pass, right? That's what they tell me anyway :) It was a fun day and many fantastic memories were made. Grandparents are good for that, aren't they?

Finley Winslet - 6 months

Finley turned 6 months old in September and she is such a joy. She is the happiest, most mellow baby we've ever had. She almost always has a smile on her face and is well loved and taken care of by big sister and brother. She loves them and I can tell she is anxious to be able to move so she can keep up with them! I am so thankful for a baby like her in this season of chaos!

Oliver's 3rd birthday

Holy Moses! I am so far behind, but with 3 little ones and building a house I barely have time to breathe, let alone post pictures. I miss blogging terribly. It is my outlet. We have no internet access right now, so I am in my husband's office quickly posting some pics. Oliver turned 3 in August and had a fun little party with family and a couple friends. I can't believe my boy is 3. He is quite the little character and scary smart. He keeps me on my toes, that's for sure. He loves his baby sister (and his big sister, though they fight like cats and dogs) and is really protective of her. He adores his cousins and grandparents too.
Ok, I'm going to post Fin's 6 mo pics and then next weekend I'll post some of Berk's 5th bday. As soon as we finish the house and get settled, I'll get back to blogging, I promise.
